And more to come!

I do plan to eventually begin hosting more services but limited upload speed in my area is currently a problem for anything purely media based (Piped, Invidious, etc).

However, if you have any other ideas please tell me about them!

Status

Status

Here's where you can view the uptime of my services!

Unfortunately my self hosted setup simply cannot compete with outside uptime/performance monitoring. As such I use updown.io for that task.

Small disclaimer: Running the below tests on the status page may result in different results than the rest of my pages. This is because the domain actually points to their site, and is therefore not managed by me. It's also the reason that there's no onion or I2P service for the status page and that the onion and I2P services themself are not monitored.

At some point in the future I'd like to look into a VPS to do external uptime monitoring, but until then this solution is far better than nothing at all.

Security/Privacy tests

SSL Labs

SSL Labs logo

SSL Labs checks all of the SSL settings for a site including it's certificates, protocols, keys, and ciphers. It then gives it a security rating from F to A+ based off how secure the server's configuration is.

This site and all of it's subdomains score an A+ on their test. Please feel free to email me with any comments, questions, or concerns!

Security Headers

Security Headers logo

Security Headers analyzes the HTTP headers a website returns and then grades it from F to A+ based on the security they provide.

This site and all of it's subdomains score an A+ on their test. Please feel free to email me with any comments, questions, or concerns!

New test ideas?

I'm always open to adding in additional tests here. Providing privacy and security for my users is the biggest goal of my services!

About/Contact me

About me

I'm Butter Cat, a tech nerd who heavily enjoys Linux, movement shooters, and a wide variety of music. I first got into computers around 2012 and besides the learning I've done on my own I also went to a vocational school for IT and am now going to college for computer science. In the past I worked at an IT helpdesk and I'm currently working as a networking assistant.

Hobbywise you'll find me often tinkering with my computer or server, playing games, flinging my RC car around, and occasionally tending to my ever growing music collection. I'd say my favorite bands are probably Three Days Grace and Get Scared (YouTube links).

Contact me

I try to be responsive on my email, but between work, school, and other parts of my life, I may not always be quick to answer. Regardless, I love getting emails from people who've seen my site and will respond to every one of them that comes my way!

Don't hesitate to contact me for any reason, wether it be to report a problem, ask a question, or just chat!

Extra

Onion Service

Tor logo

This site and all of it's subdomains are also available as onion services! This means that you can privately and securely access it over the Tor network using a .onion link.

I've taken the time to make Tor users a first class citizen on my sites and despite speed limitations over the Tor network I hope it still shows. Tor users deserve the same experience as anyone else.

PGP key

GnuPG logo

I also have a PGP key that I mainly use for email and git commits.

You can use this to verify it's actually me you're emailing, receiving a file from, or who's contributing to a project (in the rare times where my code is good enough for that).

Matrix room

I've recently created a Matrix room!

It really just exists as a faster way to get in touch with me than email and potentially a place for status updates should something be offline for a while.

Cats!

Bella

Bella is my first cat who is unfortunately no longer with us. She was very mean and gave me many bites, scratches, and scars, but that never stopped me from loving her. I'm saddened by how little pictures I have of her and wish I had taken so many more in her relatively short time with us.

Lacy

Lacy is the first of my current two cats. At times she's very affectionate, usually going through stages where she loves to be showered in love and then other times where you can't even get near her. Unlike Holly she's almost never playful (unless it's bullying Holly). She also really enjoys begging me to watch her eat. She's all black besides a little white tuft right on her chest and she's also the icon for this site!

Holly

Holly is the second of my current two cats. She's playful and incredibly loving, spending her nights sleeping with me or curling up somewhere nearby. Part of our nightly routine is that she likes to snuggle after I take a shower, always screaming at me as soon as I open the door. Her favorite activity is staring out the window at the birds or making random noises and running across the house at full speed.
